Wherever possible please use public transport, or walk to the festival if you are able to.
Public Transport
We are very grateful to Stotts Coaches who have kindly offered free travel to and from Holmfirth on Saturday 26th for the festival. You can see their timetables here: stottscoaches.co.uk/local-services/
Holmfirth Bus Station is a 5 minute walk to the venues and has frequent connections to local towns and villages with a variety of bus providers.
Parking
If you are coming by car, there are several public car parks payable using the RingGo app. There are a limited number of electric car charging points at Crown Bottom Car Park.

Food and Drink
Holmfirth is a beautiful town full of wonderful shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. Please do make full use of what the town has to offer; we think you’ll be impressed!
Accommodation
Our friends at Holme Valley Camping and Caravan Park will make you feel very welcome should you choose to stay with them. You’ll find out more about them here: holmevalleycamping.com
There are also lots of AirBnB properties and several small hotels in the town too.
Accessibility
Our festival has a strong focus on accessibility so that wherever possible children are not disadvantaged by cost or additional needs.
Wheelchair access
The majority of events will take place at The Civic, which has wheelchair access for both the Main and Lesser Halls. Holmfirth Library also has wheelchair access. If you know that you will need to sit in a specific area of the venue (for instance, the aisle) then please let us know at least a week in advance by email and we will ensure this is arranged for you.
Disabled Parking
The nearest car park to The Civic is at Crown Bottom where there are Blue Badge holder spaces. If you need to drop someone off, it is possible to stop for a short period of time at the front of The Civic where a volunteer will be able to help you.
BSL Events
We have applied for a grant to support us with the costs of hiring a BSL Interpreter. Keep watching for further updates.
Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Lanyards
If you have a hidden disability, wearing a sunflower lanyard will indicate to our volunteers that you may need some extra support. If you need to get in touch before our events please email us so that we can help plan your visit.
Toilets
All of our venues have toilets on site.
Costs
Our tickets are low-priced to make sure that families can attend together and some events are FREE. If your child’s school is affiliated with the festival then you may be able to access free tickets to other events if you are unable to pay. Please speak to your school for more information.
Other information
Changes to Events
Event listings are correct at the time of going to print but sometimes changes do have to be made. In these circumstances we will communicate any changes via email to all ticketholders and on our website and social media. Please check our website for the most up to date listings.
Refunds
Please note that tickets are non-refundable due to the non-profit nature of the festival. However, should an event be cancelled, refunds will be issued in full.
Filming and photography
It is really important for our grant funding that we are able to provide photographs of the festival and this will also help us to promote the event in future years. Most photographs will be crowd shots rather than of individual children but please just let us know on the day if you do not want to appear in any photographs.
